Mathematics of the people, for the people, by the people: encouraging mathematical happiness
Descriptive statistics
Awesome R. Descriptive Statistics
Wikipedia defines descriptive statistics as  “the discipline of quantitatively describing the main features of a collection of data.”
We think that’s about as good a description as any, and a good starting point for learning how useful R can be, and how straightforward it is to learn to use R to do useful and powerful data analysis.
Our Descriptive Statistics book is in development. The first chapter is written and we invite you to download it and provide feedback to help us improve our presentation.
The chapter will be available for download when you enter your name and email in the form below and click SUBMIT.
We are very keen to get our feedback, so please do access chapter 1 of Descriptive Statistics and let us know what you think. Please remember that this is intended for people who have little to no knowledge of, or experience with R, so it is a gentle introduction to R. It is not intended for experts or experienced R users.
